Statuspage is available within the PingOne app catalog, making it easy to manage and provision access to your Statuspage account.

Follow the instructions below to enable Team Member SSO for your Statuspage account.

Note: Statuspage SSO Setup has moved to the Team Members Page under the 'Single Sign-on' tab and may be referenced as 'Statuspage admin' below.

Start in your Statuspage Team Member Page

These instructions will allow admin access to your Statuspage account using PingOne as an Identity Provider. Please note that for this setup to be complete, you must first be an existing admin for your Statuspage account.

  1. Log into Statuspage and navigate to Team Members. Click on the Single Sign-on tab to access your SSO settings. If you do not see this tab, SSO has not been enabled for your account, you can contact us for help!

  2. Scroll down to Using SAML. On top of this form, you'll see two values; ACS URL / Consumer URL and EntityID/Audience URI. These values will be needed within Okta. Alternately you can click on service provider metadata XML file for this Organization to see the raw SAML metadata.

  3. If you prefer to work with raw metadata, click service provider metadata XML file for this Organization.

Continue Setup Within PingOne Admin Portal

  1. Once you've accessed your PingOne Dashboard, you'll want to find Statuspage in the Application Catalog. First, click on Applications in the top nav bar, and then Application Catalog in the secondary nav bar. Search for Statuspage in the search box, and then click on the arrow to start setting up your application.

  2. Once you click on the arrow, you'll see the first page of setup. Click on Setup to proceed to the SSO Instructions Page.

  3. Here we can see the necessary values for configuration in your Statuspage Admin. First, download the certificate, and then paste it into the Certificate field in your Statuspage admin. Be sure to include the header and footer lines when pasting your X.509 Certificate!

  4. Next, copy the Initiate Single Sign-On (SSO) URL value, and pase it into the SSO Target URL field in your Statuspage Team Member Page:

  5. When you're finished, click on Save Configuration in your Statuspage admin to save these settings.

  6. Once you've saved your settings in Statuspage, click on Continue to Next Step in your PingOne Admin to configure your connection to Status Page. Keep your Statuspage Team Member Page open, you'll need your entityID from your admin page!

  7. On the 'Configure your connection' Page, we'll need to setup your entityID in PingOne. To do this, copy the EntityID / Audience URI value in you Statuspage Team Member Page, and paste it into the EntityID field in PingOne. When you've done this, click on Continue to Next Step.

  8. The last item we'll need to configure is the Subject Attribute Mapping. On this page, select Email from the Identity Brideg Attribute or Literal Value field, and then click Continue to Next Step

  9. Finally, you can customize the way your Statuspage app is displayed. Once you're done, click on Save & Publish, you'll be taken to a review page. Make sure everything is correct, then click on Finish to complete setup.

Congratulations! You have just enabled Single Sign-on for your Statuspage account. You can still login through Statuspage, and also through your list of available Apps within PingOne.
