Statuspage is available within the Okta app catalog, making it easy to manage and provision access to your Statuspage account.

Follow the instructions below to enable Team Member SSO for your Statuspage account.

Note: Statuspage SSO Setup has moved to the Team Members Page under the 'Single Sign-on' tab and may be referenced as 'Statuspage admin' below.

Start in your Statuspage Team Member Page

These instructions will allow admin access to your Statuspage account using OneLogin as an Identity Provider. Please note that for this setup to be complete, you must first be an existing admin for your Statuspage account.

  1. Log into Statuspage, and navigate to Team Members. Click on the Single Sign-on tab to access your SSO settings. If you do not see this tab, SSO has not been enabled for your account, you can contact us for help!

  2. Scroll down to Using SAML. On top of this form, you'll see two values; ACS URL / Consumer URL and EntityID/Audience URI. These values will be needed within Okta. Alternately you can click on service provider metadata XML file for this Organization to see the raw SAML metadata.

  3. If you prefer to work with raw metadata, click service provider metadata XML file for this Organization.

Setting up the Application
  1. In your OneLogin Dashboard, click on Add App in the top right corner of the page

  2. On the next page, you'll see a list of categories, and a search box. Search for Statuspage, and click on the app to get started!

  3. Here you can begin setting up your Statuspage App. First, you'll see a field for Display Name; you can leave this as is, or change it as you see fit. Second, in the Connectors field, select the radio button for SAML 2.0. When you've finished, click on Save in the top right corner of the page.

  4. Next, you'll be brought to your Statuspage app's configuration dashboard. First, click on the Configuration tab, where you will see a field for Statuspage.io Entity ID. Remember the EntityID field in your Statuspage admin? You'll enter that value here:

  5. Finally, we'll need to get some data from OneLogin to complete setup in your admin within Statuspage. In OneLogin, click on the SSO tab, and look for the fields X.509 Certificate and SAML 2.0 Endpoint (HTTP). You will need both of these values.

    To get the certificate's value, click on 'View Details', and click the copy button above the certificate's field:

  6. Click Save before heading back to Statuspage to save your changes!

Finish setup in the Status Page Admin

  1. To complete the setup, navigate back to your SSO Controls in your Statuspage admin portal. Click on Manage Account, and then on Single Sign-on to access your SSO settings.

  2. In the top form entitled Require for Admin Fill in the SSO Target URL field with the SAML 2.0 Endpoint (HTTP) value, provided by OneLogin:

  3. Then, fill in Certificate with the corresponding value from OneLogin. Be sure to include the header and footer lines when pasting your X.509 Certificate!

  4. Click Save Configuration, and your application is now configured to use Single Sign-on!

Assigning Users to your Application

Now that your application is configured, all you have to do is assign users to it so that you can access the app. Note that since you have just configured an admin account, only users who have existing Statuspage accounts will be able to log into Statuspage.

  1. Return to the OneLogin admin portal for this application, and click on Users. Here you'll see a list of available users that you can grant access to your app:

  2. When you click a name, you'll see a modal appear that will allow you to manage this user's access. When you're done, click Save, and the settings will be applied!

Congratulations! You have just enabled Single Sign-on for your Statuspage account. You can still login through Statuspage, and also through your list of available Apps on OneLogin.
