Note: Pingdom will be removing their legacy API on December 20th, 2020. Users can currently use the legacy API as a workaround but eventually, this will not be supported. You can find the legacy API here to generate a legacy API key to configure this integration.

Prior to the deprecation, we will update the instructions below so Pingdom metrics can still be successfully added with their new API.

Linking Pingdom as a 3rd party data source

1. Log in to your Pingdom account

2. Navigate to Integrations > The Pingdom API.

3. Click Register Application and fill in the required fields.

Step 1a

You will see your new Application name and Application key listed under Your Application Keys. You can find the legacy API here to generate a legacy API key to configure this integration.

4. Copy your application key.

Step 1b

Step 1c

5. Log in to your Statuspage account

A note about Pingdom subaccounts

If you're on Pingdom's enterprise plan that allows for subaccount delegation, we'll need to know the email of the owner account as well. When entering your email, you'll need to use the format below, and continue to use the subaccount password as normal.

subaccount@email.com->owner@email.com

Add a Pingdom metric

1. Navigate to Your page > System metrics.

2. Click Add a metric.

3. Select Pingdom from the dropdown along with the appropriate check name and metric type.

4. Enter a display name and display suffix.

5. Click Add metric.

Note: We currently only support the uptime and response time checks from Pingdom.

Adding the new metric may take a couple of minutes.

Editing a metric

1. Navigate to Your page > System metrics.

2. Click the Advanced options tab.

3. Edit the metric and its attributes such as suffix, min and max values for the y-axis, and the metric description. By default, your metric is hidden and will not show up on your status page.
