Add a Datadog metric to Statuspage

1. In Statuspage, select Your page > System metrics.

2. Select Add a metric.

3. From the Data source dropdown, select Datadog.

What happens when new components or system metrics are added to audience-specific pages?

If a subscriber didn’t set up their subscription preferences they'll automatically be subscribed to any new components or system metrics.

If a subscriber already changed their subscription preferences, they will not automatically be added to new components/system metrics. To give them access to the new component or system metric, edit the audience-specific group or user under Audience.

4. Find your query in Datadog:

a. In Datatog, select Dashboards.

b. Select Edit this graph on the selected metric.

c. Select JSON and copy the value of the q key in the JSON payload.

Note: We don't support the full JSON payload so please make sure you're providing a Datadog query. Basically, what is contained in the "q" field of the JSON payload is what should be entered into our integration.

5. Back in Statuspage, paste the query and enter a display name and suffix.
